== How crafting works == Traced in rg.exe (October 2026). Older notes called packets 0x16 / 0xC03E a "weapon reload"; they are crafting. # '''Use the scroll.''' Double-click a scroll in your inventory. The client enters its crafting state (log text
MODE:MAKE
). The scroll stays in your inventory the whole time. # '''Client checks.''' It checks your production level against col 9. Then it searches your inventory for each material slot, taking as many matching items as the slot's quantity. If a slot can't be filled, the search stops early but '''still sends whatever it found''', so a server has to check the full recipe itself. Only an empty material list stops the request. # '''Request (client β server 0x16):''' the scroll's reference, then a count, then the reference of every material item to use. # '''Server answer.''' #* '''Success (0xC03E):''' the server sends the finished item. The client puts it '''on your mouse cursor''', removes the materials it sent from your inventory, and plays a success sound. If something is already on the cursor, the client rejects it. #* '''Refusal:''' the server answers the pending request with a failure. The client plays the error sound and nothing is used up. # '''Place the item.''' You click to put the new item into an inventory slot (client 0x0E) or drop it on the ground (client 0x0B). '''The scroll is never used up.''' Only the materials are, so one scroll is a recipe you can craft from again and again. This fits player memories of crafters mass-producing weapons to level their crafting skills. Still unknown: what level a crafted weapon starts at, and whether the original server stamped the crafter's name on it (the Korean preview says crafted gear carried the maker's name).
