Weapons

Weapons cover six equipment "types" (categories 16–21 in cptnamecategory.txt: Katana, Sword, Axe, Spear, Bow, Bow Gun). Unlike Armor, each weapon is a unique named item rather than a set of color recolors of a shared base — there's no tier/variant grouping needed here, every entry gets its own heading.

Each type is defined in its own NN.dat file — record type 0 in the NN.dat format (44 columns: 8-column header, then OFC/DEF/AGL/LUCK/LIFE/FOOD, then 11 weapon-params columns, 14 sprite/animation-sequence ids, and 5 display/misc columns) — with flavor text supplied by the matching cptNN.txt description file. As with rings and armor, LIFE/FOOD are always 0 for this category. The icon index (col6) is the weapon's image id inside the bitmapdata archive; it's listed for every piece below so the matching sprite can be located and uploaded later.

22.dat is a related but separate file: a single "unarmed" baseline record (see below), not a purchasable item. There's also 62.dat and 63.dat, which share the same 44-column layout but hold unnamed, unpriced records that look like monster/NPC combat data rather than player weapons — see below.
