Monsters (73.dat)
Monsters (73.dat) documents the 12 records in 73.dat, a record-type-9 monster file
(32-column stat line per record, per NN.dat) used for the ruins
traps rather than living creatures. Only 4 of the 12 records are real — the Doulanghaim-ruins
traps Crystal Pillar, Stone of Angry, Devil's Oberisk and Zomba Gyorte; the other 8 are
unnamed placeholder slots (name/English field = 0, no drop, empty cpt73.txt
line). Flavor text is transcribed from cpt73.txt (Korean~English).
The 4 named traps are mechanically identical — same stat line except the drop entry: col17 (DEF) = 200, col18/col19/col20 = 1 (HP 1 — destroyed in a single hit), col21 (reward) = 0, and a shared sprite (inaba.dat row col24 = 647). They share one flavor line and each drop one of the "Piece of…" specials at the end of Monster items (36.dat 151–154). The 8 placeholder slots still carry sprite references (inaba rows col24 = 641–649) and use unusual trailing constants (col32 = 39/52 instead of the 85 seen in the other monster files) — likely reserved or scrapped trap variants.

Record columns
[edit]Same 32-column type-9 layout as the other monster files (see Monsters (65.dat)#Record columns). Trap-specific reading: col17 (DEF) = 200, col20 (HP) = 1 (one-hit destructible), col18/col19 = 1, col21 (reward) = 0 — so a trap is a static, one-hit object that yields a "Piece" item, not a fighting monster. The named traps all share sprite refs col24 = 647 / col26 = 159. The 8 placeholder slots differ only in their sprite rows (col24 = 641–649) and carry the unusual col32 = 39/52 trailing value.
